Chefs who cook for world leaders come together to feed New York's hungry
Jul 26th 2013, 19:13

The members of Le Club des Chefs de Chefs are used to preparing elaborate meals for royalty and heads of state, but Saturday they'll be feeding a much humbler clientele.

The chefs of the world's leaders will be cooking more than 200 New Yorkers in need at the Xavier Mission - and they won't be serving soup. The dishes these chefs are serving are "fit for royalty."

Chopped Summer Salad with Pecans and Tarragon Dressing

Maple and Canadian Whole Grain Mustard Glazed Cedar Planked Salmon

Anglesey Eggs (Wyau Môn)

The event is presented in partnership with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, which will be offering the dishes on their menus during the week of July 29th. A portion of the proceeds from the "Fit for Royalty" menu will be donated to local food banks in participating hotels' cities.

Among the chefs participating in the event are Gregor Zimmermann, chef in charge of official receptions of Switzerland, and Ulrich Kerz, chef to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. FoxNews.com LIVE's Jonathan Hunt spoke to the chefs ahead of their trip to the Xavier Mission. Click the video above to find out more.
