World's largest dump truck stakes its claim

Have a mountain you need to move?

Belarusian mining equipment company Belaz has introduced what it purports to be the world's largest dump truck.

The 27-foot tall 75710 is powered by a pair of 65-liter 16-cylinder engines churning out an impressive 13,738 lb-ft of torque combined, more than 17 Ford F-450 Super Duty pickups.

This allows the eight-wheel vehicle to lug around its 750,000 pound weight plus nearly a million more pounds of earth in the hopper.

Despite having a two-axle steering system, the 68-foot long beast has a turning circle half a football field across, so your local cul-de-sac probably doesn't stand a chance.

Trucks in this class don't come with a no-dicker sticker, but can sell for upwards of $5,000,000.

Ironically, since they're the largest things on the block they have to be delivered in parts and assembled on site.

If you're looking for a weekend project, we suggest you find a pretty big shade tree to put it under, like a sequoia.
