Hot Wheels Urban Shredder takes electric scooters to the extreme
Nov 20th 2012, 17:20

Remember that Mattel hooverboard Marty McFly rode in "Back to the Future Part 2?"

We'll, they've managed to come up with something even crazier, but this time it's real.

Hot Wheels has unveiled the Urban Shredder, an electric scooter/skateboard mashup that you ride on your knees.

Head first.

Because your parents didn't have enough to worry about already.

Designed for children between the ages of 8 and 12, the Urban Shredder has a weight limit of 150 pounds. The three wheel contraption has a top speed of 10 miles per hour and can be driven for up to 60 minutes per charge.

To make it even more exciting, sparks literally fly from the wheels as it goes around corners.

The wearing of equipment is recommended and the disclaimer in the online commercial says it shouldn't be operated "in streets, around cars or in foot or vehicle traffic."

Investing in a padded room might be a good idea.

Just in time for the holiday season, the Urban Shredder is on sale now for $349.99.
