Now that's a cobra jet.
A jet-powered 1967 Ford Mustang is currently up for sale on Craigslist.
The "Krispy Kritter" was built from scratch by a Pittsburgh body shop owner back in the day using a new Mustang body shell modified to fit a Westinghouse J34 jet engine salvaged from a Banshee fighter plane.
According to Open Throttle 360, the very unique pony car features a 1939 Plymouth front axle and brakes from a 1958 Buick and a Mercury Marine throttle to control the jet's 3,000 pounds of thrust.
The J34 is a common choice for jet powered dragster builds, and generates the equivalent of approximately 10,000 hp.
There's no asking price on the listing, but Jalopnik reports that it was previously offered for $30,000.
We also discovered that there's no answering machine at the number listed for the car, further cementing it's old-school cool?
