The GMC Sierra 1500 Denali is back, and built like a brick.

The luxury truck brand's top of the line pickup gets an updated take on the Denali trim level's signature chrome grille, now comprised of rectangular, brick-like openings that emphasize the all-new pickup's boxy bodywork.

A unique set of 20-inch wheels, polished stainless steel exhaust outlets and body color bumpers further differentiate the Sierra Denali from its more workaday brethren, while projector beam headlights and LED daytime running lights add to its modern look.

Interior appointments include Denali badges throughout, aluminum trim and a standard navigation system, Bose audio, heated and cooled power leather seats among other equipment.

While a 355 hp 5.3-liter V8 comes standard, the Denali will also available with GM's latest 6.2-liter V8, now with direct fuel injection, variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation that has a certified power rating of 420 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. GMC says the big engine should get a class-leading tow rating of 12,000 pounds.

Pricing for the new Denali has not yet been announced, but the model it replaces starts at $47,425.
